Gboard stickers

As light apps become a trend among low-end Android users, a new app from Google by the name of Gboard Go has been spotted and it looks pretty functional. While it is not yet available in the Play Store, it can be sub-mounted on your regular GBoard.

The Gboard Go app is available for low-end Android devices running Android 8.1 Oreo. This means it is only out for Pixel devices and will soon rollout to other devices. Cutting up to 30MB RAM usage, this new app is helpful for low-end smartphones.

While Gboard is widely used, many are unaware of its presence in their devices. The keyboard from Google is simple and learns as you use it, helping smoother usage as you get used to it. The keyboard comes with multiple features to truly personalize it.

To start with, you can choose between light and dark themes or any other colour you want. You can also set custom images as the background on this keyboard. The Gboard Go app is spotted as an extension that mounts itself on the standard app. This app is tipped to use less than 40MB RAM compared to the 70MB consumed by the standard GBoard app.

With Gboard Go, you get the same themes, gestures and integrated search as on the full version. However, it compromises on Gif search and Stickers. With not much difference in the standard and Go variant, you can switch to the lighter version, saving more RAM on your smartphone.
