Mercury mTAB Lite with 1 GHz Processor and 7- Inch Display Launched at 6000 INR

Kobian recently launched 7-inch mTab lite tablet with 1 GHz processor and Android (ICS) Price at 6000 INR. This tablet is another addition to the budget tab market and will be competing with many low cost Calling tabs intended for general purpose usages including Simmtronics 7 inch tablet(5,999 INR) launched few days back.

This tablet has a 7 inch capacitive multi touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels which will give you a pixel density of 133 pixels per inches, this is an average resolution and won’t give you much clarity.

mTAB employs a Vimicro ARM Cortex A8 architecture based processor clocked at a frequency of 1 GHz with 512 MB RAM. This won’t give you lag during general purpose usage. The internal memory of this device is 4 GB expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card. This device has primary VGA camera of 0.3MP,And another front camera of 0.3 MP, Which is quite less considering what other manufacturers are offering in budget tablets.


Other connectivity features include 3.5 mm audio jack, 2G( via SIM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0. mTAB comes with a battery capacity of 2700mAh which is quite standard in this range tablets. and is expected to give you a backup of 4 to 5 hours. This tablet is 12 mm thick and weighs 320 grams which is appropriate considering the 7 inch screen size in this price range.

over all it is a basic budget tablet with no particular feature that stands apart, but will suffice for your general purpose usage like social networking, basic internet surfing(2G), checking e-mails, etc. mTAB Lite has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 6000
