HTC Butterfly S with 5 inch FHD display and Snapdragon 600 processor at Rs. 52,428

HTC Butterfly S showed up on the online retail website Saholic for a price of Rs. 52,428. The price tag must have made you skipped a beat or two. Though there is no official announcement from HTC regarding the launch of this new high end smartphone, this delivery will start from 11th September onwards.

This phone comes with a 5 inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels). The display type is Super LCD 3 which eliminated air gap layer in display and provides you with good outside visibility. The pixel density is 440 ppi (less than HTC ONE which still leads the race with 469 ppi) which forms a fine clarity display. This fine display is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it extremely resistant to abuse.

This Phone is powered by 1.9 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU to assist your gaming. This powerful beast is assisted by a RAM capacity of 2 GB. The internal storage is 16 GB and can be further increased to 64 GB using MicroSD card. Sony Xperia Z Ultra( Qucik Review) which is comparatively cheaper comes with a more powerful chipset with Snapdragon 800 processor.

On the software front, this device is equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system with HTC Sense 5.0 UI. The camera of this device is Ultrapixel camera, which means the pixel size is larger than what other sensors have and this helps in Low light photography. The camera has a 4 MP 1/3” BSI sensor (back illuminated sensor for better quality and effective Zooming) A front camera of 2 MP capable of HD recording is also available for video calling.

The Battery capacity is pretty good at 3200 mAh which is considerably greater than HTC ONE 2300mAh battery but the Talk time difference is only 2 Hrs on 3G and 7 hrs on 3G. HTC claims this battery will give you 29 hrs on 2G and 25 hrs on 3G. Sound features include Studio-quality sound with Beats Audio, Sense Voice, Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, HTC BoomSound and 3.5mm Audio Jack. This one comes with MHL support along with 3G, NFC, GPRS, EDGe, WiFi, DLNA and infrared port.

Yes the device sports Amazing features but still the price is quite high, HTC ONE which priced nearly10 to 13 k less comes with slightly smarller 4.7 Inch display, gorilla glass2 and slightly less battery backup. On the plus side it has better camera with Optical image stabilization. Surely the price difference doesn’t looks very well justified. you can buy this phone from Saholic at a price of 52,428 INR and the retailer will deliver it around 11th September 2013.
