Curved screen is the new rage these days. After about a month when Samsung released its Galaxy Round with curved display, LG too brought a smartphone sporting same feature named LG G Flex. Initially the availability was limited to South Korean market.
But seems like the LG G Flex with curved and flexible display will be available to international markets very soon. 3G.cn recently reported that LG was getting ready to host a launch even for the G Flex in Hong Kong on December 3 whose invitations have already ben sent out.
For US, the G Flex wont be coming this year. But speculations are that the phone will be released by early next year and can be brought via its major carriers like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile. US customers can hope that the smartphone might run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The phone sports a 6 inch curved display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. The phone’s unique rear case has the ability to heal itself post scratches. Here is the official video showcasing the same.
The phone is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone also has more than sufficient 32GB of onboard storage.
LG G Flex is being sold in Korea for 999,900 KRW (equals about $942). Prices are expected to be less especially in markets where carrier subsidies are provided.
