Karbonn Titanium S4 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

Earlier this month, Karbonn’s Titanium S5 Plus was spotted online and now the company is all set to introduce its latest Titanium S4 mid-range smartphone in India. The latest smartphone is now listed at an e-commerce website at Rs. 15,990 with ‘Notify Me’ option for consumers and there is no word on the availability of Karbonn Titanium S4.

If we trust the specs mentioned by this online retailer then this dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device looks good with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 4.7-inches (720×1280 pixels) HD AMOLED display. The Karbonn Titanium S4 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor where the chipset is not yet specified and will be coming along with 1GB of RAM. Let’s see the specs of this device in detail and if the device can success in standing ahead of the other devices available at this range.

Camera and Internal Storage

This device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera to let you enjoy video calls. The camera will be supporting Auto Focus and a Flash Support as well. The 13 MP rear camera is more or less similar to what we have seen in many of the previous devices launched in this range but the 2MP secondary camera at the front side is beaten by the 13MP /5 MP combination, something which we have seen in many devices launched by XOLO and Micromax in this range.

The Karbonn Titanium S4 features 4GB inbuilt storage (ROM), which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD. This is again as expected for this range and nothing out of the box from the company.

Processor and Battery

The Karbonn Titanium S4 packs 1.2 GHz quad core processor where the chipset is not yet specified by the online retailer but expecting to be obviously the Mediatek Quad Core MTK6589. The chipset will be backed by 1 GB of RAM. We have to wait to check the processor chipset as it will hold the ace for the performance factor of this device.

The smartphone has got 1800 mAh battery which again makes this device similar to other domestic branded phones with HD resolution having 2000 mAh battery. This device will be featuring an HD screen, so the battery can be consider as adequate.

Display and Feature

The Display of this phone is 4.7 inches in size, and sports 720P HD resolution. It has got a AMOLED display which will display the resolution of 1280 x 720 (720p HD). Titanium S4 supports dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system. The phone features some additional features including Voice Search and Dialing, Multi-tasking, Graphics Support, Games, Face Unlock, Voice Input.

Looks and Connectivity

The device has got a body dimension of 59x135x7.9 mm and is showing the available color as only White. The looks and body design seem pretty regular as compared to competition which includes phones like Micromax Canvas Turbo and Gionee Elife E6 which fair much higher in this department. The Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, 3G(21 Mbps HSDPA), Bluetooth (Supported Profiles (A2DP) and GPS.

You will be reading its comparison with Titanium X soon and the device can be consider as a good competitor with few of the devices in the same price range from brand like Micromax, Xolo Q series and to some device from of its own.

The Gionee Elife E3, Karbonn Titanium S9 , Blue Life One and iBERRY Auxus Nuclea N1 are some device that can face a tough competition from Titanium S4.
