Design and Build
The Nokia XL comes with the typical Lumia design we’ve been seeing in the past. Not only the hardware, even the UI that runs on the Nokia XL reminds you of the Lumia series thanks to the tiled interface that it has.
As you can see, the device has a very symmetric design. The unawares will definitely be mistaken on the first look.
Camera and Internal Storage
The XL comes with just a 5MP shooter at the rear which suggests that it is among the lower priced devices from the company. For reference, the Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 525 both come with 5MP shooters, and sell for equal to or under the 10,000 INR mark, which we think is enough reason to suggest that the XL will sell for about the same price.
Internal storage on the device is just 4GB like most other budget devices. Of course, it is expandable by another 32GB via microSD.
Battery, OS, Chipset
The Nokia XL comes with a 2000mAh battery that should return around average runtime. Most other devices in its rang come with 2000mAh batteries too, so there’s nothing too good or bad here. The device will run an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) build, with the Asha UI on top of it. You can clearly see the departure from the usual Android interface in the pictures.
It has a Snapdragon S4 Play at its heart running in conjunction with 768MB of RAM to provide entry to mid range multitasking capabilities.

Conclusion
The Nokia XL looks like a very interesting device, if Nokia do manage to pull of the pricing well. At MWC, Nokia suggested a price of 109 Euro for the device, which makes us believe that it will be available for under 10,000 INR mark in the Indian market. Nokia has been taking the Indian market seriously, which is why we would like to believe that the device will see a release in India sooner rather than later. The 5-inch screen on the device is bullseye and is bound to hit the target audience, although the 800 x 480 pixel resolution could’ve been better.
