HTC One M8 is now official and amidst all the improved hardware numbers, the 4 MP Ultra pixel camera remains same on paper. The similarity however is restricted only to hardware specs as we notices significant improvement in low light shots with the new HTC One M8 in our time with the device.
Apart from the 5 MP front shooter capable of full HD video recording at 30fps, HTC One M8 has a duo cam feature at the rear with one Ultrapixel camera and one additional camera which acts as depth sensor for refocusing clicked images.
The pixel size is 2 micrometer which is large on purpose to facilitate better low light absorption and it does seem to work this time. The sensor is 1/3 inches in size and can record 1080p videos at 30 fps and 720p videos at 30 fps.
As is seen in the images below the camera gives good performance in low light condition as well as full light conditions. HTC has also armed camera software with some useful tricks. You can copy paste objects from one image to another and there are several more image effects you can use in HTC Sense 6.0 as compared to Sense 5. We will update this post with the video sample soon.
