As assured, Asus took the wraps off the dual SIM variant of the FonePad 7 tablet in India today for a price of Rs 12,999. The Taiwanese manufacturer unleashed the dual SIM FonePad 7 with the model number ME175 along with the LTE variant at the Mobile World Congress 2014 tech show in Barcelona. On the specs front, the FonePad 7 dual SIM is reminiscent to the single SIM variant expect for the processor. Here is a quick review of the FonePad 7 based on its specifications.

Asus FonePad 7 Dual SIM includes a 5 MP primary camera with support for Full HD 1080p video shooting ability and a 2 MP front-facer that can capture videos at HD 720p resolution. For this price range, it can be said that the FonePad 7 Dual SIM definitely has decent camera capabilities as many other tablets in the similar price range do not have such cameras on board.

For storage, there is 8 GB of internal storage that can be expanded further up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. Also, users of the dual SIM tablet can access to 16 GB of Asus Webstorage space for one year. While, 8 GB of internal storage could be low for many users who tend to install lot of applications, the expandable storage along with free cloud storage space should be sufficient.

The Asus FonePad 7 Dual SIM is powered by a 3,910 mAh battery that is rated to offer enough juice for the tablet to last up to 30 hours of 3G talk time to the dual SIM device under normal usage. Asus also claims up to 10 hours of video playback.

Asus has given the FonePad 7 Dual SIM a 7 inch LED Backlight WXGA IPS display with HD resolution of 1280×800 pixels and support to 10 finger multi-touch. This high quality display can definitely deliver excellent viewing angles as it incorporates an IPS panel.

Connectivity is handled by 3G via both the SIM cards, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/aGPS and Dual SIM with Dual Standby. Also, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system on the FonePad 7 Dual SIM is topped with the Asus UI for an enhanced user experience. The SonicMaster audio technology delivers superior audio quality.
