Apple had just launched an aggressive buyback scheme for the iPhone 5C 16GB model and it now plans on launching the 8GB version of the smartphone in India. The latest word on the street is that the Cupertino based giant is now going to launch the iPhone 5C 8GB soon in the country. Seeing the fact that there’s usually a difference of roughly Rs 9,000-10,000 between two variants, expect the iPhone 5C in 8GB to cost about Rs 32,000-34,000.
Now that Apple has introduced a buyback scheme for the 16GB sibling which brings its price down to Rs 34,400, we expect the same scheme to be extended to the 8GB variant too. That would bring down the price to roughly Rs 27,000-28,000 and having an LTE enabled device in the sub Rs 30,000 range would surely make a lot of sense.
iPhone 5C gets a 4 inch LED Backlit IPS LCD Retina Display which offers you one of the best 4 inch displays on sale currently. Inside it a 1.3 GHz dual core A6 chipset teamed up with a 1GB RAM. We all know it is about the experience on offer in the iPhone rather than the specs. At the back is an 8MP snapper with a LED flash which is easily one of the best 8MP shooters. The front of the device is adorned by a 1.2MP front camera for video calling.
It runs on the latest operating system from Apple which is the iOS7. The internal storage is 8GB and it cannot be expanded. Giving the juice to run is a 1,510 mAh battery unit. The smartphone will be offered in a slew of colour options that are available for the other iPhone 5C variants. The iPhone 4S is on sale currently for around Rs 24,000 so Apple will be working on finding a sweet spot between the pricing of iPhone 4S 8GB and iPhone 5C 16GB.
