Camera and Internal Storage

The rear panel of the Zenfone 6 flaunts a 13 MP primary shooter that is coupled with autofocus and LED flash to deliver improved performance even under low lighting environments. This snapper is teamed up with a 2 MP front-facer unit that can help in clicking away selfies. We believe that this camera set should be capable of delivering a decent performance addressing the basic photography demands of the users.

The native storage support of the handset stands at an impressive 16 GB and this can be expanded by another 64 GB by means of a micro SD card. For many users, the internal storage space should only be sufficient to store the necessary content.

Processor and Battery

The processor employed in the Zenfone 6 is an Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core chipset that ticks at 2 GHz. This processor is supplemented by PowerVRSGX 544 MP2 GPU clocked at 400 MHz and 2 GB of RAM. The same chipset has been incorporated by the Lenovo K900 and it uses the Hyper Threading technology that will render faster performance.

A battery of 3,300 mAh capacity energizes the smartphone from within and it is rated to deliver a backup of 28 hours of talk time and 398 hours of standby time to the Zenfone 6. Though the battery life sounds pretty much impressive, on practical usage we expect the device to last for a day on moderate usage.

Display and Features

The Zenfone 6 is given a gigantic 6 inch IPS display that carries a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. This resolution translates to a pixel density of 245 pixels per inch making the display an average one. Furthermore, it is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating to prevent the damage due to everyday usage. Being an IPS panel, it is believed that this display could be crisp with wide viewing angles.

The dual SIM supporting device is fueled by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but it can be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. For connectivity, the device has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with aGPS aspects that will allow the users to stay connected on the go.

Comparison

The Asus Zenfone 6 will definitely be a stiff challenger to handsets such as Micromax Canvas XL A119, Intex Aqua Octa, Xolo Q2500 and others.
