Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo Gets Android 4.4 KitKat Update in India

Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 Neo smartphones in India. The handset was launched in February with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system onboard. Initially, the Korean version of the handset received the KitKat update and now it has reached those units available in India.

The Android 4.4 KitKat update comes with the usual set of goodies that the platform brings. Also, there are performance improvements such as UI enhancements, cloud-print support, improved downloads app, updated Hangouts app and others. Also, it will add support for wireless printing, minor UI changes, support for emojis, white status bar icons, full screen music album on lockscreen, improved user interface, lockscreen Camera shortcut and others.

Lately, the Galaxy Grand 2 received the Android 4.4 KitKat update, whereas the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3 are slated to get the update soon.

Measuring 495 MB in size, the update is rolled out as an OTA one and users of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo can go the Settings -> About Device -> Software Update to check for the update.
