Lava Iris X5, a selfie centric smartphone which Lava teased a couple of weeks back is now official, flaunting a price tag of 8,649 INR. So if you think Xperia C3 is too expensive for its features, Lava Iris X5 with a LED flash for front camera is the budget alternative worth a look.

The design language is more or less similar to light weight Lava Iris Pro 30, something which lava has been sticking to in its second innings. The 5 inch IPS LCD display with 1280 X 720P HD resolution sounds like a decent proposition in this price range.

Software is latest Android 4.4 Kitkat fueled by 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 1 GB RAM. Internal storage is 8 GB and is expandable via MicroSD card support. Further details about chipset remain unknown at this point of time.

The show stopper is of course the 5 MP front camera with LED flash support, 4 Element wide angle (84 Degree) Lens, meant to entice selfie lovers. Rear shooter is an 8 MP unit with f2.2 wide aperture, 5p lens and Dual LED flash.

Inside its slim 7.9 mm body, Lava Iris X5, houses a 2100 mAh battery. Other features include Dual SIM, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Lava Iris X5 will retail exclusively on Amazon.in in black and white color variants. To further sweeten the pot, Amazon is offering 16 GB MicroSD card, flip cover and Screen guard for those who purchase it today. Official launch is expected soon.
