Lava has announced another 7 inch display budget Android, Xtron Z704 tablet in India for 6, 499 INR. The design looks akin to conventional Xtron family, with beefed up bezels and on the inside too, this tablet plays by the book.
A quad core Chipset ticking at 1.3 GHz from the house of MediaTek (MT8127) is at the heart of this device, fuelling Android 4.4 KitKat on the 7 Inch 1024 x 600 pixel resolution capacitive display. There is 1 GB RAM for smooth multi tasking and 16 GB internal storage, which is certainly impressive at this price point. MicroSD support up to 32 GB is also an option.
At this price point, the hardware sounds good enough. For basic photography Lava is offering a 2 MP rear and a VGA front camera, but considering the form factor and fixed focus shooter, you won’t be using it for primary photography.
A 4000 mAh battery is again above average, while other features include 2G EDGE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI and GPS. Lava Xtron Z704 is 10.7mm thick and is moderately heavy at 320 grams.
The Lava Xtron Z704 is an entry level tablet, putting together inline hardware with good chipset. If you are a basic user, you can buy Xtron Z704 for 6,499 INR.
