Camera and Internal Storage

There is an 8 MP camera with LED flash at the back of the Oppo Mirror 3. This camera is accompanied by a 5 MP selfie shooter on the front. At this price point, most phones arrive with better 13 MP sensors onboard, but this snapper is claimed to use PI2.0+ technology that comes with snap shot offering depth of field, Beauty Mode 3.0 for selfies and Double Exposure. oppo has armed this phone with hardware and software required for good quality selfies.

Internal storage is average at 8 GB and you can further use another 128 GB of secondary micro SD card. There are better offerings with 16 GB storage support in this price bracket.

Processor and Battery

The processor used is a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor that is teamed up with Adreno 306 graphic unit and 1 GB of RAM. We have seen the chipset in several offerings including the second generation Moto G and it has proved its capability as well.

Battery capacity is 2,000 mAh and Oppo has not let out the exact backup that this battery can render. We expect it to pump in moderate hours of life to the handset under mixed usage.

Display and Other Features

There is a 4.7 inch IPS display with HD 720p resolution in the Oppo Mirror 3. In its class, this smartphone should be rendering moderate performance as far as the screen is considered. The IPS panel will render decent output with wide viewing angles from almost any angle.

The Oppo smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat topped with Color ROM. It features connectivity aspects including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality as well.

Comparison

The Oppo Mirror 3 will be competing with HTC Desire 620G, Moto G (2014), Micromax Canvas Nitro, Huawei Honor 6, Xiaomi Mi4  and others in the mid range market segment.
