Intex has announced the launch of a new smartphone called Intex Aqua HD 5.0 that is available for sale via Flipkart. The device has identical specifications as the Intex Aqua Star HD launched in 2014.
Priced at Rs 6,999, the Intex Aqua HD 5.0 boasts of a 5 inch HD 720p IPS OGS display and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6582V/X processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The bundles standard 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further by another 32 GB using a micro SD card.
The dual SIM Intex Aqua HD 5.0 is given a 13 MP main snapper with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter for video conferencing. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Intex smartphone is packed with connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The device is energized by a 2,300 mAh battery that can render a decent backup to it.
Apart from the Aqua HD 5.0, Intex seems to be prepping to launch another smartphone called Aqua Y2 1 GB that has been listed on its official website. From the listing, it is clear that this smartphone is an upgraded variant of the Aqua Y2 that was launched previously as it boasts of better specifications.
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Aqua Y2 1 GB is bestowed with a 4 inch IPS display with WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels. The handset is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor that is backed by 1 GB of RAM. The storage requirements of the users are handled by 8 GB of default memory capacity that can be expanded by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Connectivity aspects onboard the Aqua Y2 1 GB include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality. There is an 8 MP primary shooter at the back of the Intex smartphone with LED flash and a 2 MP selfie snapper up front. The device is listed for a pricing of Rs 5,190 and it is expected to go on sale in the coming days.
