As Micromax’s sister company gears up for the Yuphoria launch, the domestic manufacturer has quietly introduced Canvas Nitro 2 E311, which is the third Canvas Nitro variant after A310 and A311, priced at 10,399 INR on Infibeam.

So what has changed this time? Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 E311 has  M6592M chipset clocked at 1.4 GHz (vs 1.7 GHz Octa Core) and slightly smaller 2400 mAh (VS 2500 mAh) battery. Canvas A3111 is available for almost the same price as of now, but Canvas Nitro 2 E311 will play its role as a cheaper alternative in next few weeks.

Micromax has included 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, which is admirable for the price. Other hardware including 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, Dual SIM card support and 5 Inch 720p IPS LCD display have been passed on to this new variant as well. We would have liked to see Andriod Lollipop ROM in this new product, but Micromax is sticking to Android 4.4 KitKat for now.

  1. I think for the price range, the Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 is a nice budget phone. It has a nice battery life, as compared to my earlier Samsung Galaxy Duos phone Micromax, even with chatting and some average amount of gaming.

The screen size is also nice and the colors are very bright. I don’t watch a lot of movies, but whatever videos I did watch which were shared from Whatsapp were very clear.

The camera is not mind blowing, but then in this price range I found it satisfactory enough especially because it has HD video recording. What I really liked is that the phone does not hang, which I experienced a lot in Samsung Galaxy.

But the biggest drawback I felt was that the phone does heat up a little after you use it for some time but it also cools quickly. Overall, I think it is a good enough phone and I am glad I bought it from MNV Collections.
