Black Variant Of Xiaomi’s Upcoming Flagship Device Mi 5 Leaked

Xiaomi fans across the globe are waiting eagerly for the Chinese tech giant to take the wraps off the next big thing in smartphone industry, that is Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship device Mi 5. This smartphone alone has kept the rumor mills running for past some months with something new and peculiar surfacing on the internet almost every other day.

Two new images have popped up on the internet which reveals that Mi 5 could be coming in two different variants out of which Black colored one has just surfaced. These photos were posted on China’s micro-blogging website Weibo and authenticity of these photos could not be ascertained.

As it is evident from the photos above, the top left corner of the smartphone panel is somewhat blurred where MI branding is usually placed. Over the course of some months numerous photos have surfaced which claimed to be of Mi 5 and these two photographs lies in accordance with those earlier revealed photos.

As for the specifications of Mi 5 we have learned that from the rumors that Xiami’s next flagship will be packing a 5.2 inches Quad HD display flaunting a slim profile fully clad in metal. Though it has already been confirmed that Mi 5 will be packing Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood.

Mi 5 is rumored to come with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and a minimum of 32GB of internal storage. As for the cameras, Mi 5 is purported to feature a 16 MP rear as well as a 13 MP front facing shooter. This device is expected to run MIUI 7  based on Android Marshmallow and will be fueled by a 3600 mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The device is reported to officially launch on January 21.

Momentarily nothing has been confirmed by Xiaomi so there is a cloud of confusion over the above mentioned specs but we can expect the features to be somewhere near with a bit of highs and lows. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned.
