Samsung has added another affordable smartphone to the very successful J series today. The latest addition to the company’s portfolio is the Galaxy J3. Soon after the release of their latest flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung has treated the loyal fans with the affordable offering. Galaxy J3 is launched at a price of INR 8,990 and will be available in India exclusively via Snapdeal from Thursday.
The highlight of this device is the new S Bike Mode, which is aimed to aid those who use bike to travel on daily basis. Samsung says India has record number of bikers and there are many unfortunate casualties due to bike accidents every year. So the company has featured a dedicated mode for bikers, which will ensure their safety while riding and also keep up with the urgent calls.
Other than this the Galaxy J3 flaunts a Super AMOLED display measuring 5 inches having HD (720 pixels) resolution with 294 PPI pixel density. This smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset and comes equipped with 1.5 GB of RAM. You will get 8 GB of on-board storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.
Android 5.1.1 based Galaxy J3 features an 8 MP rear camera with 5 MP front facing camera for selfies and video chats. Primary camera can record videos up to 1080p@30fps and front camera can record 720p video.
It is a dual-sim smartphone accepting two micro-sim and comes with all the usual connectivity features like 4G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS among others. It is fueled by a 2600 mAh battery and also has the Ultra power-saving mode.
