The phone which was first introduced at the MWC 2016 has been now launched in India. Yes, Alcatel Idol 4 has been finally launched at a price tag of Rs 16999. Considering the specifications of Alcatel Idol 4, it comes with a 5.3-inch (1920 X 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS LTPS display, Precog UI (Touchless control), Live UI, Parallax UI. Powering it is an Octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 X 1.7 GHz + 4 X 1.2 GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU, coupled to it are the 3 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512 GB via microSD.

Operating system is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) while it supports Hybrid dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD). Camera duties are handled by 13 MP rear with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, EIS and an 8 MP front-facing camera with LED flash, 1.12 um pixel size, 84-degree wide-angle lens. The phone is equipped with 2610 mAh battery which comes with Quick Charge 2.0.

Coming to the Boom Key, one can control, camera, gallery, music, videos, games and much more through the additional boom key. Pressing the key for a while results in burst mode, whereas if user press it while recording a video helps in broadcasting the video live.

The dual-speakers offers a total audio output of 7.2 watts which are accompanied with Waves MaxxAudio technology. The JBL stereo headset further improves the experience for the music junkies.
