Vivo’s market share has been skyrocketing worldwide; it has surpassed Lenovo and Xiaomi and entered the elite list of Top 5 Smartphone Rankings, thanks to strong offline distribution channels. Today, the company has announced its latest offering christened as Vivo V5 Plus, the successor of Vivo V5. Atleast on the paper, it is a considerable upgrade with improved camera optics and a better processor.
Vivo V5 Plus Specifications
The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a 5.5 inch full HD in-cell IPS LCD, resulting in a pixel density of ~401 PPI. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display against drops. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top.
Powering the V5 Plus is a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone houses 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM on board.
Coming to the most intriguing part, imaging – the V5 Plus comes with a 16MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. The rear camera also comes with Phase Detection Autofocus.
On the front, you get a dual camera setup. It is only next to LG V10 to feature a dual camera setup on the front. The primary 20MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and 5P Largan lens. It is assisted by an 8MP camera next to it, which captures the depth of field details. The two front cameras are supported by a Moonlight LED flash.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor and an AK4376 audio chip for an enhanced sound experience. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The V5 Plus is powered by a 3160 mAh battery and comes with fast charging support.
Pricing And Availability
The Vivo V5 Plus is priced at Rs. 27,980. The phone will be available on pre-orders starting January 24. The first sale of the V5 Plus will start on February 1.
