Intex launched a new sub-range smartphone Aqua Lions 3 today. The phone is priced at Rs. 6,499 and it will be available in Champagne and Black color options across retail stores. The phone has a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
This is the second launch from the company in its Aqua series of smartphones in less than a week. The domestic smartphone maker had launched another Aqua phone named Aqua Selfie a few days ago.
The newly launched Aqua Lions 3 succeeds the previously launched Aqua Lions 4G. Given its price, the Aqua Lions 3 would compete against the likes of Moto C Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and some of Intex‘s own phones.
Intex Aqua Lions 3 Specifications
Similar to Aqua series phones, Aqua Lions 3 comes with big bezels at the top and bottom. The upper bezel consists of the front camera, a flashlight, and a speaker grill. While at the bottom there are back, home and overview buttons. The right edge of the phone carries the volume rocker and power button.
The phone features a 5-inch, 2.5D curved glass display with Dragontrail Glass protection. The display has a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Coming to the hardware of the phone, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor clocked at 1.25GHz. It is coupled with 550MHz Mali-T720 MP2 GPU.
The Aqua Lions 3 packs 2GB RAM. It has a 16GB internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 128GB with the microSD card. The phone is powered by a massive 4000mAh battery.
On the camera front, the phone sports 8MP rear camera with LED Flash. the front camera is also 8MP with LED Flash.
Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.
Another notable feature of the phone is that it comes pre-loaded with SwiftKey. SwiftKey, an input method for Android and iOS devices has support for 22 Indian languages, plus popular slangs like Hinglish. SwiftKey uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically learn your writing style and suggest auto-corrections and word predictions.
Pricing and Availability
The Intex Lions 3 is priced at Rs. 6,499. It will be available across all retail and branded outlets. The phone comes in Champagne and Black color options only.
