Samsung Galaxy J7+ announced with dual cameras, Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Samsung has quietly launched the Galaxy J7+ in Thailand. The latest addition to it’s popular ‘J’ series, the Galaxy J7 Plus is priced at THB 12,900 (roughly Rs. 24,800). The highlight of the phone is its dual camera setup at the back with new Live focus and the dual app support feature.

The new Galaxy J7 appeared on Samsung’s Thailand website. It revealed specifications, price, and availability of the phone. Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy J7+ have started and the phone will go on sale from September 15 in Thailand.

The smartphone features the same design as its predecessors J7 (2017) and J7 Pro, with a few changes. Notably, it has a capsule-shaped dual camera setup, a full metal body, and a fingerprint scanner underneath the home button.

Speaking of the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7+ sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with TouchWiz UI on top.


Samsung Galaxy J7+

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ is powered by a 2.4GHz Helio P20 octa-core processor. It packs 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD slot.

Coming to the camera, the highlight of the phone is its rear camera that has two sensors, one at 13 MP with f/1.7 aperture and the other at 5 MP with f/1.9 aperture. There’s LED flash support as well and a new live focus feature similar to the one in Galaxy Note 8, which allows you to blur the background in real-time. Also, there is a 16 MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture at the front with an LED as well as screen flash for better selfies in low-light conditions.

The phone packs a 3,000mAh battery which is slightly smaller than the Galaxy J7. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and more. Another highlight of the new Galaxy J7 Plus is its Bixby Home app.

Other notable features include multi-window and dual app feature support, which means you can operate two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. Moreover, it comes with an always-on display for important notifications, and a secure folder to keep your apps and files secure.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Plus is priced at THB 12,900 (Rs. 24,800 approx.). The phone is available for pre-orders in Thailand and will go on sale from September 15. Also, users who buy the smartphone before September 17 in Thailand can get the Samsung U Flex wireless earphones worth THB 2,490 for free.

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ has been launched in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options. There is not any information on the availability of the Samsung Galaxy J7+ smartphone in other markets as of now.
