Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is reportedly going to launch another device with a Fullview 18:9 display after the recent M7 smartphone. The device has been spotted on TENAA and GFXBench, dubbed as Gionee S11 which packs the similar FullView display.
Gionee recently launched its M7 and M7 power smartphones with 18:9 aspect ratio displays. Now, this Gionee S11, which is the successor to last year Gionee S10 may be launched very soon following the same trend. TENNA and the GFXBench listing of the device also reveal most of its specifications.
Gionee S11 Specifications
According to TENAA, the Chinese certification authority’s website Gionee is following the new ultra-wide aspect ratio trend. The latest Gionee S11 is expected to feature a similar 6.01-inch, 1080 x 2160 pixels AMOLED display.
If we talk about hardware, TENAA listing also reveals that the device is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core chipset. The name of the chipset is still not clear yet. It is further coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
In the camera department, the Gionee S11 will have a total of four cameras – two on the back and two on the front. From the report, it will probably come with 16 MP dual camera on the back side and 20MP + 8MP dual cameras on the front.
Further, if we talk about design, it will be quite slim measuring 155.8 x 72.6 x 6.95mm and weighing just 178 grams. The device includes a 3,600 mAh battery. Other mentioned features are a fingerprint scanner on the back and an Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OS.
Interestingly, a device with the Gionee S11 name also surfaced on GFXBench recently. The benchmark report shows a similar 1080 x 2160 pixels display and Android 7.1.1. However, it is slightly smaller than the one at TENAA i.e. 6-inch.
Other details are also different. The device on GFXBench is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6763 chipset and coupled with 4GB of RAM. Also, it shows a and a single 16MP main camera and a 4MP selfie cam. However, since the S10 also was launched in three variants, we can expect the same from the S11. So, the one on GFXBench could be another variant of Gionee S11 which explains the different specs.
