Taiwan-based smartphone maker Asus has announced the Asus ZenFone V smartphone as a Verizon exclusive in the US. The ZenFone V comes with a 5.2-inch display, 23MP primary camera, an 8MP front camera and high-resolution audio.
The Asus ZenFone V sports a Snapdragon octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage with expansion option. It is a 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone, packing a 3,000 mAh battery.

Announced in the US as a Verizon exclusive, the Asus ZenFone V features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution. It is a 2.5D curved Gorilla glass and has a front-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button.
Optics on the Asus ZenFone V are handled by a 23MP rear camera and an 8MP front cameras. The rear camera sports a Sony IMX318 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and OIS. On the front, the device comes with an 8MP unit with f/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens.
In terms of hardware, the Asus ZenFone V is sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 octa-core processor clocked at 2.15 GHz coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. This combination is accompanied by 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, along with up to 256GB expansion option using a microSD card.
On the software front, the phone offers you ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. ZenUI is the optimized UI that Asus smartphones use. The Asus ZenFone V is powered by a 3,000 mAh with BoostMaster fast charging that lets you charge it to 60% in 37 minutes.
For connectivity options, you get 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm earphone jack with high-resolution audio output capabilities.
Pricing and Availability
The Asus ZenFone V is announced only in the US as a Verizon exclusive. The smartphone is priced at $384 (roughly Rs. 25,000) and can be brought in the US without a contract or with a 16/ 24 months contract with your carrier. It will be available in Sapphire Black colour only.
