Samsung is gearing up to launch its 2018 line-up of Galaxy J series, according to a spotting of the Galaxy J3 (2018) online. In the spotting, the full specifications of the Galaxy J3 (2018) have been revealed, giving a glimpse of what is in store from Samsung for the first few months of 2018.
Earlier, two different reports revealed the features and specifications of Samsung‘s 2018 devices – a flip phone named SM-W2018 and the Galaxy A (2018) series. Now, we are getting the first reports about the Galaxy J3 (2018), which will be an entry-level phone from Samsung and one of the phones expected in the affordable Galaxy J (2018) series.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) Specifications
The Galaxy J3 (2018) listing on popular benchmarking website GFXBench reveals that the phone will come with a 5 inch HD resolution display with a pixel density of ~294 PPI. The phone was found to be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat though, instead of the Android 8.0 Oreo update.
Powering this entry level smartphone from Samsung will be a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor with an ARM Mali-G71 GPU. The listing reveals that this phone will come with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, hinting at its entry-level target.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy J3 (2018) could come with an 8MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The listing does not reveal whether the phone will come with a fingerprint sensor or not, but we should know more in this regard in the coming weeks.
