Airtel and Intex introduce affordable 4G smartphones starting at Rs. 1,649

India’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has introduced three new smartphones under its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. The operator has partnered with Indian domestic smartphone manufacturer Intex Technologies. The two companies have come up with a range of affordable 4G smartphones with advanced features starting from Rs. 1,649.

Airtel now offers total seven 4G smartphones under this initiative. Earlier, the operator had partnered with Karbonn Mobiles and Celkon to launch affordable 4G smartphones. Now, Airtel has partnered with Intex to offer a cashback of Rs. 1,500 on Intex smartphones. Intex has launched the new Aqua LIONS N1 smartphone and apart from that, Airtel’s cashback is applicable on two existing Intex smartphones.

Airtel cashback offer on Intex smartphones

The new Aqua LIONS N1 will be available to Airtel customers at an effective price of just Rs. 1,649 while its market price is Rs. 3,799. Customers need to make a down payment of Rs. 3,149 for the new 4G smartphone. It comes bundled with a Rs. 169 plan from Airtel, which offers data and calling benefits. After that, Artel will give a cashback of Rs. 1,500, which makes the effective price of the phone Rs. 1,649.

In addition to the Intex Aqua LIONS N1, two more 4G smartphones have been introduced under the offer- Intex Aqua A4 and the Intex Aqua S3 which were launched earlier this year. Aqua A4 comes at an effective price of Rs. 1,999 (down payment of Rs. 3,499) while the Aqua S3 is available at an effective price of Rs. 4,379 (down payment of Rs. 5,879).


How to get Rs. 1,500 Airtel cashback

In order to get the cashback, the customers are required to make 36 continuous monthly recharges with Rs. 169 pack from Airtel. After 18 months, the users will get a cash refund of Rs. 500 and another Rs. 1,000 will be refunded after the completion of 36 months, taking the total benefit to Rs. 1,500.

If the customers do not want to recharge with Rs. 169 plan, they have the flexibility of doing recharges of any denomination. However, to claim the cashback, they need to do recharges worth Rs. 3,000 within the first 18 months to claim the first Rs. 500 and another Rs. 3,000 over the next 18 months to claim the second installment of Rs. 1,000. The cashback will be deposited to Airtel Money.

Aqua LIONS N1 features

The all-new Aqua LIONS N1 smartphone is powered by MTK chipset and comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen. It has 2MP rear and 0.3MP front VGA camera. It packs 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

All the three devices are Android-powered and offer full access to all apps on Google Play Store, including YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. All the three smartphones also come preloaded with the MyAirtel App, Airtel TV, and Wynk Music to offer a great self-serve and content experience to customers.
