Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its next flagship smartphone dubbed as Oppo F7 in India on March 26. The company has teased the phone with an image that shows full-screen display with a notch and minimal bezels. The Oppo F7 will be the successor to last year’s Oppo F5.
Oppo had earlier launched F5, a selfie-focused smartphone in India in its ‘F series’ back in November last year. The F7 will now be launched in the country on March 26 and it will be the successor to the Oppo F5 skipping the F6. The phone is to come with an iPhone X-like notch, and dual rear cameras similar to the OPPO R15 that will be launched in China later.
Moreover, Oppo is also teasing its brand ambassador for the phone and asking users to guess the cricketer holding the phone. The cricketer is likely to be Hardik Pandya. “Make way for the all-new #OPPOF7 now with an awesome notch screen, coming to you on 26 March. Can you guess who the Indian cricketer is behind the phone?” reads the tweet by Oppo Mobile India account.
Oppo F7 Specifications
The company has not yet revealed any specifications of the phone officially. However, earlier reports claim that the phone will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display with 89.09% screen-to- body-ratio. Most importantly, it will feature the iPhone X-like notch in the display that has become a trend these days.
If we talk about the camera, Oppo has always been making selfie centric smartphones. So, Oppo F7 is also expected to come with a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with improved Artificial Intelligence features such as beauty mode for selfies, real-time HDR, AR stickers and more. The hardware of the phone is still unknown.
The Oppo F7 launch event is set for March 26. We will know more details about the phone after the launch.
