LG has announced a new smartphone in its ‘K Series’ dubbed as the LG K30 in the U.S. The budget phone has entry-level specifications including a 5.3-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 425 SoC, Android 7.1 (Nougat), 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The phone is currently launched in the US as T-Mobile exclusive.

LG K30 Specifications

Coming to the full specifications and features of the device, LG has launched this phone with last year’s features. The LG K30 sports a 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with the old 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with LG UX 6.0+ on top.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. Memory wise, it has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB with microSD.

It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. There is a Fingerprint sensor below rear camera module. Connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It has a 2,880mAh battery. Dimension wise the phone measures 148.6 x 74.9 x 8.6mm and weighs 168 grams.

Price and Availability

The LG K30 is priced at $225 or $9 per month for 24 months contract for T-Mobile users in the US. This translates to Rs. 15,030 approx. in India. However, there is no information whether it will be introduced in India.
