Vivo has launched a new V9 6GB RAM variant in Indonesia. Apart from the 6GB RAM, the new variant of the V9 also comes with an upgraded processor which is Snapdragon 660. However, it comes with downgraded cameras from the standard V9.
Chinese smartphone maker launched its Vivo V9 flagship back in March with 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 626 processor. The standard variant V9 also sports 16MP+5MP dual rear cameras and 24MP selfie camera, while the new V9 6GB variant comes with 13MP + 2MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. All other specs of both the models are same.
Vivo V9 6GB Specifications
The Vivo V9 6GB variant features the same 6.3-inch FullView display with FHD+ resolution, and 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch at the top. On the software front, the V9 6GB variant also runs the Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0.
When it comes to hardware, the new V9 6GB is an upgrade over the standard version. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with an Adreno 512 GPU in comparison to Snapdragon 626 chipset on the standard V9. The new V9 6GB has 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 256GB.
The V9 6GB features a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup on the back, in comparison to 16MP + 5MP setup on the standard V9. On the front of the new model has a 12MP Dual Pixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture, while the standard V9 has a 24MP front camera. The front camera on new model also supports the AI feature just like the standard version.

Vivo V9 6GB Price and availability
The Vivo V9 6GB has been priced at IDR 4,299,000 in Indonesia which translates to Rs.20,500 approx. The phone is available for pre-orders in the country and will go on sale starting July 5 via Vivo Online store or JD. The V9 6GB comes in two colors – Black and Red.
Vivo has not yet announced the availability of Vivo V9 6GB in other markets including India.
