WhatsApp to soon get Stickers, Mute Button now available in Android Beta

WhatsApp will soon get a new sticker feature just like the other messaging apps. As per a recent report, WhatsApp is currently testing the stickers feature and it could be announced in future. Apart from that, a new ‘Mute’ button is now available in Android beta.

WABetaInfo has reported that WhatsApp Beta version 2.18.218 will be bringing a preview of upcoming sticker feature. WhatsApp has still not confirmed anything about the testing of the feature. In another update, the WhatsApp Beta version 2.18.216 makes the Mute button live for everyone in the notification panel.

Last week WhatsApp started testing two new buttons ‘Mark as Read’ and ‘Mute’ to take actions directly from the notification panel. Now, the Mute button is live for everyone with the latest WhatsApp beta version 2.18.216 on Android devices. While the ‘Mark as Read’ button hasn’t been released for beta testers.

If we talk about the new Mute button, when you receive more than 51 messages from the same chat, you will find a new button called ‘Mute’ in the WhatsApp Notification panel alongside the reply button. You can mute the chat directly from here.
