Asus Zenfone Max M1, Zenfone Lite L1 launched in India: Price, Specifications

Asus today launched two new smartphones in India at an event in New Delhi. The Asus Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 are the budget phones from the company that come with features like 18:9 HD+ display, Snapdragon 430 processor and a 13MP rear camera.

Previously it was expected that Asus would launch the successor to Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India today but the company announced budget phones. Both the new Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 are similar in terms of design, display, and hardware, but they have different RAM, storage, battery, and front camera.

The Asus Zenfone Max M1 is priced at Rs. 8,999 but it will be available at Rs. 7,499 as a festive introductory offer. Similarly, the Zenfone Lite L1 is priced at Rs. 6,999 but it will be available for Rs. 5,999 during the festive season. Both the phones are Flipkart exclusive and will soon go on sale during Festive Dhamaka Days.

The smartphones come in Black and Gold color options. If we talk about launch offer, Reliance Jio users will get Rs. 2200 cashback and 50GB additional data after purchasing any of these phones. There will be specific bank offers on Flipkart as well.


Asus Zenfone Max M1, Zenfone Lite L1 Specifications

The Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 both sport a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. They both run on Android Oreo-based on ZenUI 5.0. Both the phones also support face unlock feature but Lite L1 doesn’t support a fingerprint sensor.

Both the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. The Max M1 comes paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. While the Zenfone Lite L1 packs 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage on both the phones is expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

In terms of camera, they both include a 13-megapixel single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, PDAF, and LED flash. The Max M1 sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. While the ZenFone Lite L1 sports a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. The camera features include beauty, portrait, and HDR modes.

The Zenfone Max M1 has a 4,000mAh battery while Zenfone Lite L1 packs a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 80211 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, AGPS, GPS, GLONASS, and more.
