Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India today as it had promised. As expected, the new phone is just an improved version of the Redmi Note 7 which was launched in India back in February. The new Redmi Note 7S comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera.
All other features will remain the same as Redmi Note 7. The key features of Redmi Note 7S include a 6.3-inch FHD+ DotNotch display & glass back both with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, P2i nano-coating, and a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 7S Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340 ×1080 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has 1.95mm narrow bezels with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 81.37% screen-to-body ratio.
The device is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 14nm processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It packs up to 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB with microSD. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10.
It has a 48MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture that works on four-in-one pixel binning to make a 12MP image. The company has not confirmed the sensor so it should be Samsung’s GM1 sensor just like the Chinese version. There is a 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots. It has a 13-megapixel front camera with AI beautify, AI portrait and AI face unlock features.
Connectivity features include triple slots,Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 /5GHz) Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. It packs a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support.
It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. The body is splash-proof with P2i nano-coating. Dimensions of the phone are 159.21 x 75.21 x 8.1mm and its weight is 186g.
The Redmi Note 7S price in India starts at Rs. 10999 for the 3GB/32GB version and the 4GB/64GB version costs Rs. 12,999. It comes in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red colors and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from May 23.
