Realme, at its ‘Camera Innovation Event’, announced that it will launch its 64MP camera phone with quad rear cameras in India before Diwali. It also announced that quad camera is coming to realme series, realme pro series and realme X series,

Realme hasn’t yet confirmed the name of these devices. However, based on the teaser, the phones should be called Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro and Realme X Pro.

Realme X Pro with 64MP Camera

Although the brand hasn’t confirmed the name, we expect the Realme X successor will be called Realme X Pro. And, based on teaser posted on twitter, it will only feature the 64MP camera. The other two clearly don’t have 64MP written on the camera module.

The 64MP camera from Realme phone will use Samsung’s 1/72″ 0.8-μm pixel 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. The company says that it has worked closely with Samsung to bring the world’s first 64MP camera phone in India.

The company also posted some camera samples compared with the Redmi K20 Pro to show the details from 64MP camera phone from Realme. The samples also include some macro shots using the macro sensor as well as ultra Nightscape mode shots.

As we already know, the 64MP camera uses 4-in-1 pixel binning technology to offer image with bigger 1.6μm pixels in low light conditions. The company will set up R&D centers in India to integrate these camera innovations for Indian consumers in a better way.

Realme 5, 5 Pro with Quad Cameras

Further, as can be seen in the teaser, Realme 5 and 5 Pro will also have the quad-camera system. The company also shared features of its quad-camera set up that include Ultra Resolution, Super wide-angle, Ultra Macro, Telephoto Lens, Expert mode, etc.

To be noted, Nightscape and Chrome Boost features among them are already available in existing realme phones. As for the camera specs of Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, they are expected to come with 16MP and 48MP primary sensor at the rear.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has also announced that it will be launching its 64MP camera phone in India in Q4. It will be interesting to see how these two arch-rivals will compete for future 64MP camera technology.
