Realme 5 Launched in India Starting at Rs. 9,999: Full Specs and Availability

Alongside Realme 5 Pro, the company also launched Realme 5 today. This is a budget phone and as promised by the company, it also comes with quad-camera set up. However, it doesn’t sport a 48MP sensor. Other highlights of the phone are HD+ notch display, new Snapdragon 665 processor, and 5,000mAh battery.

Realme 5 Price in India, Availability

As teased by CEO Madhav Sheth earlier last week, the Realme 5 price in India starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB model. The 4GB/64GB model is priced at Rs. 10,999, while 4GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 11,999.

The handset will be available via Flipkart and realme.com starting from August 27. The device will be available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colors with a diamond-cut pattern.

Realme 5 Specifications

Realme 5 sports a 6.5 inches HD+ (720*1600) display with a dewdrop notch. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, it gets a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 11nm processor which is clocked at up to 2.0 GHz and is paired with up to 4GB RAM. The device packs up to 128GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB.

Talking about the camera, it also sports a Quad Camera set up in the same format as 5 Pro. However, it has a 12MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture. The other three wide-angle, macro and portrait cameras are similar to its elder sibling- i.e 8MP+ 2MP+ 2MP.

The camera also supports HDR, Nightscape and Chroma Boost features as well as 4K recording at 30fps and Slo-Mo. It also sports a 13MP AI Front Camera with AI Beautification, HDR, Panoramic View, and Timelapse features.

Connectivity features are Dual nano-sim cards, Triple Slots, VoLTE, 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro USB and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Sensors onboard include GPS/Beidou/Galileo/Glonass/A-GPS, Magnetic Induction Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gyro-meter, Accelerometer, and a rear Fingerprint Sensor.

Dimensions of the phone are 164.4mm*75.6mm*9.3mm and its weight is 198g. The device packs a massive 5,000mAh battery and it doesn’t support fast charging.

The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.
