Google has now finally brought its Kormo app in India to help people find jobs in the country. Notably, it’s an employment application that will help millions of Indians to land entry-level jobs from verified employers. Here’s how you can apply and get jobs using the Google Kormo app.
Find Jobs Using Google Kormo App in India
For starters, Kormo was first launched in Bangladesh in 2018 and later expanded to Indonesia. In India, Google bundled the feature with its payment application Google Pay where many companies, including Zomato and Dunzo, posted more than 2 million jobs.
Now, the giant has released the feature as a dedicated app where job seekers can discover and apply for jobs across India with an additional gateway.
Steps to Apply for Jobs on Google Kormo
Searching and applying for jobs on Google Kormo is quite easy, thanks to the highly intuitive and straightforward interface.
1] To start with, open the Google Kormo app on your phone and sign up with your Google account.
2] On the next page, select up to three interests or the type of jobs that you are looking for. Then, hit Continue.
3] Now, choose the location where you want to work. If your city isn’t mentioned, use the current location feature or select ‘others’ to manually search for it.
4] Once the setup is done, you can add basic information like gender, location, number, work experience, education, and references in the ‘Your Profile’ section. You can also build your resume.
5] On the app’s main screen, you’ll find different tabs for jobs matching with the selected interests. You can change your interests anytime in the ‘Your Profile’ section.
6] To apply for a job, tap the desired job listing, and click on Apply.
For ‘verified’ listings, you can directly enter your details and apply them within the app. Whereas, for third-party jobs, it’ll redirect you to the application website.
Withdraw your Job application- To delete or withdraw your job application, go to your profile, tap ‘Job activity’, and click on ‘Withdraw.’
The best part of the app is that it features real-time tracking and updates on job applications. Moreover, it supports interview scheduling directly through the app, making it easier for both seekers and employers.
Google Kormo also offers you to build a beautiful digital CV that you can share, print, or apply directly to jobs listed on the app. All the listed jobs are classified to cater to your interest and skills.
