Well, there is a easy way in which you can fix this. Apple introduced a feature known as Headphone Safety with iOS 14 which automatically lowers the volume when it is higher than safer levels. You can, however, disable this feature anytime.

1. Go to Settings on your phone.

2. Tap on Sounds & Haptics.

3. Now, here you will see Headphone Safety feature, tap on it.

4. On the next page, you will see an option of “Reduce Loud Sounds” and it might be enabled by default.

5. Tap on its toggle to turn this off.

This way, you can maximize the volume while listening to music on headphones. However, if you want your phone to reduce sound that is over a set decibel level, you should keep it turned on and instead of this, you can increase the volmue by sliding the slider below this.

Another option, that you should keep turned on is “Heaphone Notifications”, which is just above this one. When you enable this, your phone will send you notification and turn the volmue down if you exceed the recommended sound level limit for more than 7 days.

However, if you don’t want these settings to interrupt your music listening experience, and also, if you don’t care much about your eardrums, you can keep these all options turned off and listen to at whatever volume level you want.

One thing you should also note that the above-mentioned feature can’t be turned off in some parts of the world due to restrictions from local authorities.
