Apple announced several new features with the latest OS update. Some most talked-about iOS 15 features include Voice Isolation and Portrait mode on FaceTime calls. These features make the video and voice call experience better. Interestingly, these features are now expanded to WhatsApp as well. Use Voice Isolation and Portrait Mode in WhatsApp Calls
The Voice Isolation as suggested by the name works like noise cancellation. There is another mic mode- Wide Spectrum which works just opposite. So if you are on iOS 15, you can make use of these features in WhatsApp calls also. Follow the steps mentioned below.
Use Voice Isolation in WhatsApp
You can Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum modes of mic during WhatsApp voice calls. Follow these steps:
1. Start a voice or video call on WhatsApp.
2. Open the Control Center.
3. And here you will see “Mic Mode” at the top.
4. Tap on it and depending on your surrounding you can select “Voice Isolation” or “Wide Spectrum” from the given menu.
So this is how you can use the Voice Isolation feature during WhatsApp voice or video calls if you are in a noisy environment.
Use Portrait Mode in WhatsApp
On WhatsApp video calls, you can not only use Portrait Mode but also use Voice Isolation as well as Wide Spectrum mode for the mic. Here’s how to enable these modes in video calls:
1. Start a video call on WhatsApp.
2. Now open Control Center by swiping down.
3. This time, alongside Mic Mode you will also see the “Effects” button above.
4. Tap on it and then on the next page, select “Portrait”.
That’s all. Your background in the video call will be blurred.
Also, just like in voice calls, you can also select here from the two mic modes- Voice Isolation or Wide Spectrum.
