How to Apply Android 12 Material UI Theme, Wallpaper on Any Samsung Phone

Samsung is one of those smartphone companies, that has completely changed its image when it comes to software updates. As earlier Samsung users used to wait for the most for software updates. But now from the last 2 years, with Android 10, things have changed as Samsung phones receive the updates really fast, close to that of Google Pixel, phones. Samsung has been quickly updating its OneUI to incorporate the latest Android features, like Material UI Theme introduced with Android 12. Today I will be guiding you to apply material UI’s dynamic theming on your Samsung phone.

Steps to Apply Material UI Dynamic Theme on Any Samsung Phone

Google introduced “Material You” with Android 12, which allows customizing your phone’s visual appeal, according to you. This applies to a matching color accent to your phone’s UI, apps, based on your phone’s wallpaper. Samsung added this feature in their OneUI, the application is the same, the only difference is that Google used the Monet engine, while Samsung uses its own solution.

You can apply this Dynamic Theme on your Samsung phone, using these steps:

  • Pinch Out on your home screen, to customize your screen
  • Tap on Wallpaper and Style
  • Go to Color Pallete, to choose your color palette based on your phone’s wallpaper
  • Choose one out of four-color pallets that are generated based on your phone’s wallpaper.
  • Enable the toggle to apply the palette to app icons.

Note: Every time you change your wallpaper, you will find a new set of color palettes, matching your phone’s wallpaper.
