Ways to Sort Instagram Feed

As of now, you can only see an already sorted feed on Instagram, in which all the content you see frequently appears alongside some sponsored posts in between. But from now on, you can sort your feed as per your preferences and see your favorite posts, and only the followed accounts that too without ads.

Steps to Sort Instagram Feed

1. On your iPhone, open the Instagram app and tap on the Instagram logo at the top.

Note: The feature is available only on iOS as of now.

2. Now, you will see three options in a drop-down menu- Home, Following, Favorites.

3. Home is the feed that you see normally, which includes ads and posts without any order.

4. Tap on Following and you will see posts from your followed accounts only. You won’t see any sponsored posts also.

5. On tapping on Favorites, you will see the posts from your favorite accounts only. You can also manage your favorites by tapping on the below option with a star icon.

Manage Favorites

If you haven’t added any favorite accounts as of now, you can add them and manage them by following these steps:

1. Tap on Manage favorites and Instagram will open a page with some suggested contacts.

2. If you want to add them as favorites, tap on Confirm Favorites below.

3. However, if you want to remove someone from this list, tap on Remove next to their names.

4. When you scroll below, Instagram will show more suggestions and you can tap on Add next to their names to add them as favorites.

5. Alternatively, you can also tap on the + icon at the top right, and then in the search bar that appears type that account’s name whom you want to favorite.

6. Once the name appears, tap on Add next to it and tap on Done at the top.

That’s all. Now go to your home feed again and tap on Home or Instagram, which even is at the top. Choose Favorites from the drop-down and you will now see only your favorite accounts posts in your feed.
