Jio recently launched their JioTag Air in July 2024. What makes this special is that it is compatible with iOS. The Tag Air can be paired using the Find My app or Jio Things app. Tag Air uses the Find My Network to pinpoint your location and broadcast it, but if you connect it using the Jio Things app, then the location radius is bigger since the network on Jio Things is not that widely spread.
With this feedback in mind, Jio has launched the JioTag Go, which is compatible with Google’s Find My device. In this article, I will be covering everything you need to know about the JioTag Go, along with a user guide.
JioTag Go – Is it Better?
The JioTag Go is compatible with Find My Device, which gives it a much broader network of users. This will result in better location tracking along with a much smaller location radius. The new JioTag also supports fast pairing and can be shared with different Android devices as well. This will also tell you if you are being tracked by someone using an unauthorised JioTag.
How to Use JioTag Go
To turn on Tag Go, simply press and hold the physical button for 5-8 seconds. You will hear a sound once it is on. Similarly, to turn it off, you just have to press it five times repeatedly. This will turn off the device and play a sound as well.
Connecting your Device to JioTag Go
JioTag Go works with Google’s Find My Device and also supports Fast Pair. The pairing can be done via Google’s fast pair or the manual method. I prefer Google Fast Pair, and for this, follow these steps. The only prerequisite is to download the Find My Device app.
1. Turn on JioTag Go by pressing the power button for five seconds.
2. Once turned on, enable Bluetooth and location on your smartphone.
3. You will see the Pop-Up for fast pair; click on Connect, then agree to the terms and conditions.
4. In your Find My Device Application, log in using the email ID used during the fast pair connecting process. You will see the JioTag Go in the dashboard.
Locating JioTag Go
You can locate your JioTag Go from the application. This also comes with Google Map support, which means it will guide you directly to the Tag with directions. Once you are close to the Tag, you will see the tag as connected, and you can RING the JioTag to find it.
Another useful feature is the Lost mode. Once this is activated, you will get a notification as soon as your Tag’s location is updated using the Find My Device network. Lost mode is turned off automatically once your device is connected to your JioTag. You can also add a custom message and your number in case someone finds it and wants to contact you.
Noteworthy Features of JioTag
- Share your Jiotag – You can share your JioTag with your friends or family. This can be done by clicking on the Share Device option. This will enable you to share the Tag using Email, WhatsApp and even SMS. You can stop sharing by removing it from the receiver’s Find My Device app.
- You can also decide the volume intensity of your JioTag Go. This means you can switch between High, medium and low.
- If the ID that is attached to your Tag Go is logged in multiple devices, then all those devices can be used to track and find JioTag Go.
- The JioTag Go stand out from its predecessors whether be it the network coverage range or the price; as you can see from the table below.

Final Verdict
The JioTag Go is a great accessory to have; in my testing, it performed great. I carried it to Chennai with me and was able to track the location throughout the trip, and at the airport, I was able to check if my luggage had reached or not. With Google’s Find My Device network, the Tag gets better tracking capabilities and also a bigger user network. The price is the cherry on top, and I can get this for just Rs. 1499, which is a fraction of what is available on other tags online. I would rate this a solid 8 out of 10.
