Moto Z2 Force with shatterproof display, TurboPower pack to launch in India on February 15

Motorola is all set to launch the Moto Z2 Force smartphone in India on February 15 at 12 noon. The limited Moto Z2 Force will come bundled with the Moto TurboPower pack mod which is worth Rs 5,999. The Moto TurboPower battery mod was launched for the Moto Z series smartphones in India last year in December.

The Moto Z2 Force was first launched in July last year in the US and is now making its way to India. Motorola has started sending out the media invites for the event and has also started promoting the device on social media.

Moto Z2 Force Specifications

The Moto Z2 Force sports a 5.5-inch QHD ShatterShield POLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is built from 7000 series aluminum, making it 80% stronger than the Moto Z Force. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The smartphone is powered by a 2.45 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile chipset with eight cores and it comes with the Adreno 540 GPU. The Moto Z2 Force will sport 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The memory is expandable upto 2TB via microSD card. The smartphones feature dual SIM dual standby with 4G VoLTE technology.

On the camera front, the smartphone features a 12MP dual rear camera (monochrome and RGB) with dual LED dual-tone flash. The features of the camera include f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, Laser Auto Focus and 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. On the front, the device comes with a 5MP shooter with dual LED flash with a wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture.

There is a front mounted fingerprint sensor provided that comes with gestures support. The device features water-repellent nano-coating for protection against water. The smartphone features front-facing loudspeaker and comes with three mics. The Moto Z2 Force is 6.1 mm thin and weighs only 143 grams.

The phone packs a 2730mAh battery and it comes with a 15W TurboPower charger to charge it. Motorola has also included Google’s Daydream VR platform compatibility for the Moto Z2 Force.
