Nokia X listed online on a Vietnamese Retail Website

Quick Answer

  • Nokia Normandy aka Nokia X, which is Nokia’s budget phone based on a heavily customized version of Android, is now listed on a Vietnamese online retail website.
  • The website also mentions the availability of Playstore and other Google services on Nokia Normandy, which is very unlikely, due to the forked version of Android on this device.
  • We earlier spotted the phone on Antutu and the phone was listed as Nokia X along with the mentioning of Dual SIM functionality.

The phone was first spotted by wmpoweruser.com and the Vietnamese website confirms most of the specs which have been leaked online via numerous sources. According to the website, Nokia Normandy will feature FWVGA resolution which is pretty usable on the 4 inch display.

The phone will be powered by dual core 1 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor which sounds quite uninspiring. The phone will feature 512 MB RAM and the new and fancy Android KitKat operating system.

Only one camera, with a 5 MP sensor will be present at the back. The Camera wont enjoy LED flash support and will support 720p HD video recording. The phone will accept 2 micro SIM cards which makes it an attractive option in markets like India. The website also mentions the availability of Playstore and other Google services on Nokia Normandy, which is very unlikely, due to the forked version of Android on this device.

Nothing has been said about the battery capacity, but battery backup has never been an issue with Nokia handsets. Nokia is expected to make Normandy or Nokia X official at MWC 2014 and this phone will be priced somewhere between Asha and Lumia series phones.
