Nokia X6 now official: Snapdragon 636, dual cameras and more

HMD Global led Nokia has officially announced the company’s latest mi-range device in its new Nokia X series, dubbed as the Nokia X6. With this device, the company is now reviving the popular Nokia X series which was once one of the most popular smartphone series from the company.

The Nokia X6 has been in the news for quite some time now after several leaks of the device surfaced online. Recently, the device received Bluetooth certification and now, HMD Global led Nokia has officially announced the X6 in China.

Nokia X6 Specifications

The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be upgradable to Android P. The device features a 5.8 inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.Nokia X6

In terms performance, the Nokia X6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in three variants – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.


Coming to the camera department, the Nokia X6 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 16MP RGB sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size and dual tone LED flash accompanied by a 5MP Monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 1.2um pixel size. On the front, the device comes with a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Nokia X6 is powered by a 3,060mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

Pricing and Availability

The Nokia X6 will be available in China in Blue, Black and Silver color options starting from May 21. It has been priced at CNY 1299 for the 4GB + 32GB variant, CNY 1499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and the 6GB + 64GB variant has been priced at CNY 1699.
