Xiaomi announces permanent price cut for Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2

Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for its popular smartphones in India. The Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro, and Redmi Y2 get Rs. 1,000 price cut. This is a permanent price cut after the temporary price cuts during festive sales recently.

Xiaomi says that this price cut is to celebrate the company’s top smartphone brand status for 5 quarters in a row as per the IDC report.

The new prices for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM+64GB storage is Rs 13,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro with 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage also gets a Rs 1,000 price cut and it will now cost Rs 15,999.

Next, the Mi A2 Android One phone is now available for Rs 15,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant after Rs 1000 price cut. The 6GB RAM+128GB storage model will now cost Rs 18,999 compared to the original price of Rs 19,999.

Finally, the Redmi Y2 will now be available for Rs 11,999 down from Rs 12,999 for the 4GB+64GB model.

These price cuts are already live on all the platforms where these phones are available. Meanwhile, the company is gearing up for the launch of Redmi Note 6 Pro on November 22.
