Xiaomi Mi 5X

Xiaomi has introduced a new 32GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5X in China today. The Mi 5X was announced in China in July and is expected to come to India next month. The new variant also comes at a lesser price.

 

The Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, Dual cameras, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM and now two ROM variants of 32GB and 64GB. Here is all about the Xiaomi Mi 5X.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X can be referred to as the affordable Mi 6. With a metal design, Dual cameras, fingerprint sensor and well-sized display, the Xiaomi Mi 5X is a great device.

Starting with the display, you get a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with full HD ( 1920 x 1080 pixels ) resolution. The display is surrounded by thick bezels at the top and at the bottom, housing capacitive navigation keys.

Coming to the back, you see a Dual camera module with 2 lenses of 12MP each. The Dual camera further has a 2x optical zoom and dual LED (dual-tone) flash. The back of the phone also houses the fingerprint sensor.

Talking about hardware now, the Xiaomi Mi 5X offers you a Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. This setup is completed by 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The new 32GB variant has the exact same specifications, just a lesser internal memory. You can expand the memory via microSD card as well.

In terms of performance, you get Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top. Also, the Mi 5X is expected to be the first phone to come to India with MIUI 9. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is powered by a 3,080 mAh non-removable battery.

For connectivity, you get Dual Sim connectivity, Type-C USB port, Infrared sensor, WiFi, and Bluetooth options.

Pricing and Availability

The 64GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5X is priced at CNY 1,499 which translates to roughly Rs. 14,400 and the new 32GB variant is available for CNY 1,299, roughly Rs. 12,400 in China. The Mi 5X is yet to be launched in India so the exact pricing and availability will be known then only.
