Update (26/9/2013): Gionee Elife E6 is available for purchase on Snapdeal for Rs. 22,165
Gionee Fans are now tired of waiting for the new flagship device Gionee Elife E6 to Hit Indian store. The release has been on the cards for almost 2 Months now and the OEM has now officially confirmed its release date to be scheduled within Next 15 days. Moreover Gionee has also carved out contest on their Facebook page, out of this wide spread consumer Misery and you can now win an Elife E6 free if you can guess the correct release date.
This phone is already listed on online e-commerce site, Maniac Store, for Rs. 21,990. The Phone is available in black and white colors and will start shipping on 26th September according to the website.
This phone comes with a 5 inch Full HD display with IPS OGS+ touch screen. One Glass Solution (OGS) technology will give you a display with no air gap and less scattering resulting in good outdoor visibility and sensitive touch with enhanced brightness. The pixel density of 441 ppi will provide you with a very high clarity display.
Elife E6 will be equipped with 1.5 GHz Quad core MT6589T processor. This processor comes with higher GPU clock frequency than other MT6589 processors and thus will be more efficient in processing graphic intensive Gamming. The same processor was seen in Gionee Elife E5, But the RAM capacity has been doubled to 2GB. The internal storage capacity of this device is 32 GB.
On the software front it employs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean based Amigo Operating System. Which mainly consist of 4 different experience, Phone, Desktop, Gamming and Care (living assistant)
The Elife E6 comes with a 13 MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash. The front 5MP camera has also been enhanced from Elife E5 has it comes with a 28mm wide angle lens. Both the back and front cameras are capable of Full HD video recording.
The battery backup remains moderate at 2020 mAh, which seems little less because it has to support a Quad core processor along with full HD display. Gionee Elife E5 Has a 2000 mAh battery with HD display. But nothing can be said for sure until we examine the handset. Connectivity features include WiFi, GPRS, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. This phone will also come with an intelligent voice feature which will work even without an internet connection.
We expect the official release date to be 3rd October 2013. In any case this will be the final delay and the wait is bound to be over within the next 15 days. This is the first time Gionee has come up with some official release information on Gionee Elife E6.
