Sony Xperia Z1 f with Snapdragon 800 officially launched in Japan

We recently covered the leaks of Sony Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 Mini, and the phone has now been officially launched on NTT Docomo Network in Japan as expected. The phone comes with a smaller display size but high end specs similar to Sony Xperia Z1 (Quick Review), which makes it stand alone in its class.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 800 Quad core processor clocked at 2.26 GHz and supported by Adreno 330 GPU. This processor is best in business and is energy efficient too. The RAM capacity is 2 GB and internal storage is 16 GB. The phone also supports a MicroSD card for expanding storage.

The TRILUMINOUS Display size is 4.3 Inches, which makes it easier to hold. The resolution is 720 P HD which will give you good clarity on this size screen with 341 pixels per inch. The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system.

The magnanimous Xperia Z1 camera has made its way to this phone as well. The phone carries a 20.7 MP camera at the back which is almost the maximum which Snapdragon 800 chipset can support. A front camera of 2.2 MP is also present for video calling.

The battery capacity is 2300 mAh, but considering the reduced display size and energy efficient processor, this would give you ample battery backup and talk time. The phone will come in four colors: Black,White, Pink and Lime

The pricing details have not been revealed yet and Sony has not mentioned its plans for international release as of yet. After Samsung S4 Mini(Full Review) and HTC One Mini, we expect this phone to show up in India as well.A small phone with High end specs is a wonderful idea and it’s about time we have one. There are many users who still prefer a small screen size and one hand operation in the smartphones, without compromising on the specs. We will keep you updated on any news regarding its availability in India.
