Sony Xperia M2 Dual Launched in India for 21,990 INR

Sony has taken the wraps off the Xperia M2 Dual, a mid-range smartphone in India. Announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014, the dual SIM handset of the same has been released in India bearing a price tag of Rs 21,990.

Detailing on the Xperia M2 Dual specifications, the handset features a 4.8 inch capacitive touch screen display packing a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels. The dual SIM handset is stuffed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM for effective multi-tasking.

Fueled by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the Xperia M2 Dual comes with an 8 MP Exmor RS primary camera at the back with LED flash and 1080 FHD video recording and a VGA secondary camera that facilitates in making video calls.

Handling the storage department is 8 GB of internal storage that can be expanded externally up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. Other goodies in the Xperia M2 Dual include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and a 2,300 mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time and 693 hours of standby time.


Besides these hardware specs, the Xperia M2 Dual includes software features such as camera centric auto scene recognition, HSR, Social Live, Timeshift burst and Picture Effect. Also, like other Sony smartphones this one will come with access to Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and PlayStation Mobile games services.

Sony India has released the Xperia M2 Dual in Black, White and Purple color options and the device is priced at Rs 21,990.
