As we reported last week, leading India based smartphone maker Micromax has announced the launch of Canvas Doodle 3, the next phablet in its Canvas lineup. In the report, we also mentioned the possible specifications of the phablet in accordance to the leaked retail box images.
Today, Micromax has taken the wraps surrounding the Canvas Doodle 3 and has made the device official. The handset carries a tempting price tag of Rs 8,500 and features a 6 inch display carrying a resolution of 854×480 pixels. Running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Canvas Doodle 3 equips a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor clubbed with a mere 512 MB of RAM.
For the storage requirements, there is 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card. Also on board is a 5 MP primary camera at the back supplemented with LED flash and a VGA front-facer for making video calls. Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and 3G and dual SIM card slots. Battery capacity is 2,500 mAh, which is rarely seen in phones priced in the sub Rs 10,000 range.
Available in Blue and White color options, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 is bundled with unlimited access to the entertainment service – BigFlix for six months and the package includes a magnetic flip cover as we already reported last week.
