Motorola has been quite successful in India with the launch of the Moto G smartphone followed by the Moto X. For the Moto G, the vendor partnered with leading e-commerce portal Flipkart for the release of the handset and the online retailer came up with an exchange offer for it as well. Following this success, Flipkart has returned with yet another enticing offer for those consumers who are planning to upgrade to the recently announced Moto X.

Those who choose to buy the Moto X from Flipkart by exchanging their old smartphone can avail a maximum discount of up to Rs 4,000 that reduces the price of the phone from Rs 23,999 to Rs 19,999. This offer is applicable even for the Moto X Walnut that comes with wooden rear panels and its price after exchange will be Rs 21,999 instead of Rs 25,999. To avail this offer, consumers will have to visit the Moto X page on Flipkart and key in the details of the old handset such as IMEI number. Interestingly, Flipkart will arrange for a pickup of the smartphone for an additional charge of Rs 50.

To recap on the specifications of the Moto X, the handset includes a 4.7 inch AMOLED display packing HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and it is stuffed with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor supplemented with Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM to handle the multi-tasking department.

For storage, the Moto X packs a 16 GB of default storage space that unfortunately cannot be expanded and boasts connectivity features such as 2G, 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Imaging requirements are met by the 10 MP primary camera with ClearPixel technology and a 2 MP front-facing snapper for video calling and capturing selfies. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat, the Moto X draws its energy from a 2,300 mAh battery.


Besides these hardware specs, the Moto X features Touchless control that allows users to talk to the handset to perform activities such as sending messages, making or answering a call and more by saying the ‘Ok Google’ hotword. Also, the Active Display feature offers  a glance at the notifications whenever the handset is pulled out of the pocket or bag.
